The International Watch Company is a combination of an American dream and Swiss technology, Florentine Ariosto Jones utilized the world renowned Swiss watch making craftsmen.
In 1869 the dream became reality when Jones rented his first factory in Schaffhausen in Switzerland; by 1874 plans were already being drawn for its own bespoke building on the banks of the Rhine, in 1875 it was complete. Since that time the brand has stayed true to its original designs of classic simplicity which contemporary nature is still a statement of the brand, Ferdinand Porsche worked for the company as an external designer for a time and the first use of Titanium in Watch manufacture came through IWC.
IWC watches offer the real watch enthusiast must have watches with Limited editions and highly sought after designs to this day with the Portuguese, Pilots, Ingenieur, Da Vinci, Portofino, Aquatimer, Spitfire, Mark XVI being in greater demand than ever.
